Afraid

Green cats hide empty spaces
Men appear friendly faces
Why am I afraid?

Tsunami’s rock then roll
Carrying life taking tolls
Sand pours out
Steam floats in
Washing all of
Mankind’s sins

Sign of things take me places
To the colors many races
Why am I afraid?

Swept away by watery steel
Where Christ dined on last meal
Why am I afraid?

Forms swim, limbs bloated
Wash, worn, gently floated
Why am I afraid?

Our turn will come, connected
Pipe dreams fade, rejected
Why am I afraid?

Ground shifting, footsteps shaky
The path holds my wrath

afraid….
